Yesterday daddy brought home a Little People Nativity set that we had been looking for since we saw Mary and Kate's last year. We thought it would be a great way for them to get to play with a set of their own and learn about Jesus. As soon as we took it out of the bag, Daisy excitedly said "Baby Jesus!" And she has been obsessed with him every since. Even "changing" Baby Jesus' poopy diapers! he he! She has been playing with the set more than Jacob, so it appears to be more her new toy than "their" new toy! And of course she thinks princesses fit perfectly into the nativity scene! See them all gathered together to see Baby Jesus...yes she did this all herself! Very cute! So I got her to pose with her set up! (yes...Good morning Daisy!)
This one doesn't light up and play music like the other ones do...must be a Target thing, since it was made "exclusively for Target". But, we probably would have gotten tired of it anyways, and she is still enjoying playing with it. Now I wonder if we can find other pieces, like the shephards. This one came with an Angel, 3 wisemen, Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, 4 animals, and a barn.
And it was the very last one they had. They probably would get more, but Clark wanted to snatch it up in case it was hard to find.
It's never too early in the season to start teaching about Baby Jesus!
