Daisy and Jacob had a really great time this week at their first VBS at North Oldham Baptist. This isn't our regular church, but I like it. They were so great and loving on the kids it was wonderful! We walked to VBS almost every day, and every day the kids were practically dancing and singing the songs they learned all the way home!
The theme was Saddle Ranch and they came home with all kinds of crafts of cowboy boots, hats, and horses. Daisy’s were all pink…that was the very first thing the teachers said they learned about her. Her favorite color is PINK! They had great teachers! But these are the cutest crafts they made!
Last night was the Roundup cookout, and Jacob and Eli and I went while daddy stayed home with sick Daisy. I was so sad for her that she had to miss that and the last day of VBS. The kids did a little presentation, and both of my boys liked to be disruptive, the difference was, one of them got smiles and the other got “shhhhhh”! But, the kids did a really good job singing. Although Jacob couldn’t keep up with the hand movements so he kept his hand on top of his head thru every song! Funny! Jacob got to try throwing a couple of balls at the dunking booth. He missed… and then he got to ride a pony, and I forgot my camera! Uhg!
Today, the fire trucks showed up at VBS for some good ole water fun. The teachers said that Jacob was not shy at all…he was good and soaked! I knew he would be! He had a blast. Daisy sat in the car and watched for a couple of minutes and she really wanted to get out and join in the fun, but it probably would not have been good for her or anyone else! :(
The best thing of all is that they learned about Jesus all week! They did a great job!
